Have you ever met a GECKO?

Every morning, I try to read my Bible and think about what God wants me to learn that day. Some people call this having devotions. Now a lot of you may think, "Having devotions is boring," but mine aren't - especially one day last week!

I keep my Bible, a notebook and a pencil case - with five different colored ink pens and a box of little colored pencils - in a special bag that I made. Yep, it looks African, doesn't it?

Well, last week as I was getting ready to read about King David, I picked up my bag from beside my chair. If you had been in my house - or even at our neighbour's house - you would have heard me scream. A tiny, baby gecko ran out of the bag and across my hand and jumped onto the table beside my chair.

To be honest, I wasn't really scared of the gecko, he (or maybe she, I don't know!) just surprised me, but he was REALLY scared. I finally let him run onto my hand and I put him on the floor and he went and hit under the chair.

AND I haven't seen him since, but I problably will one day. This little guy will be over 5 inches long one day, not the less than 2 inches he is now. We like geckos in our houses because they eat mosquitoes! They are also interesting when they grow up because they claim their special place on a wall and run back and forth at nights. One of the grownup ones at our house, likes to run between a book case and the ceiling - I' m not sure how smart he is as he runs back and forth for hours! Another one runs between a clock and a picture - over and over and over....
